When it comes to email sending, we know that sending location matters. This is why, if you’re sending from Australia, you now have the choice to send via our NEW Australian servers!
We have many customers based in Australia and several have been requesting Australian-based servers - and we listened! Our new data center is located in Sydney and is now live.
We have data centers in the US, Europe and Australia, so your emails will be sent, and your data stored, in the region of your choice 🥳
If you’re based in Australia, and would like your emails to always be sent via our AUS servers, this means that your emails can be sent faster. This is especially important if you’re relying on our service to send large quantities of emails. By connecting to these servers, you can bypass the US/EU entirely.
By default, your emails will be sent via the servers that are geographically closest to you but, to ensure you’re sending and storing via our AUS servers, you can make a quick change in your SMTP settings. In your mailing program’s settings, your SMTP server name is more than likely mail.smtp2go.com at the moment. If you change it to mail-au.smtp2go.com all outbound mail will be sent through the country specific server cluster. If you need to verify this, please reach out to us.
When you sign up from Australia, your account will automatically be handled by our Sydney data center.
