Orange SMTP Server in France

We have had reports that the ISP Orange, in France, has blocked the use of any external SMTP server other than their own.

This is the only ISP in the world that we are currently aware of that has implemented this very strict policy.

If you are using SMTP2GO, it is still worth trying to change your SMTP port to each of the following (and then attempting to send an email), to make sure that Orange haven’t simply blocked a port at your location.

Try changing your SMTP port to each of the following: 587, 2525, 8025 and 25. NOTE: We have had reports that port 587 works at some locations. Get a free trial to test if SMTP2GO works as a solution in your situation (remember to try using each of the above SMTP ports).

Please let us know whether you are able to send emails using SMTP2GO with any of the above ports.

If the above doesn’t work, you will likely need to change your SMTP server to smtp.orange.fr and use SMTP port 25 to be able to send emails. However, this places the management of your email delivery into Orange’s hands, and this SMTP server will likely not work from different locations around the world.
