Big news, and honestly it still hasn’t quite sunk in. Late last year SMTP2GO was named to the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for Asia Pacific.

If you’ve not run into it before, the Fast 500 ranks the 500 fastest-growing tech companies across the region. Not on hype. Not on headcount. On revenue growth, measured over three full years. We landed at number 368, which, for a company that started in 2006 because of a problem I couldn’t solve in an internet café in Argentina, feels slightly surreal.

Quick bit of backstory for anyone new here. SMTP2GO exists because I once got locked out of my own email on a trip to Argentina. Every café, every local ISP, blocked my attempts to send. So I built the thing I wished existed: a server you could send through from anywhere in the world. That was the whole idea.

And the growth Deloitte recognised? That wasn’t us. That was the businesses sending through SMTP2GO every day, the customers who stuck around, who told a colleague or two, who handed us more of their email as they grew. The ranking belongs to them as much as it belongs to anyone here.

The highlight was flying up to Wellington to meet Amy Adams, New Zealand’s Minister for Communications and Information Technology. Good day. Great conversation. A proper proud moment for a team that mostly sits in a building in Christchurch, quietly shipping email infrastructure to the rest of the planet.

So. One year on the list. We’re already gunning for a second, and a third after that. Watch this space.

And to the whole team: thank you, and congrats. You earned this one.
