IMPORTANT: Please note that Office 365 is unable to use SMTP authentication. This means that you must enter every sender email address that will be used to send emails, into your SMTP2GO account.
Contact us with your desired list of email addresses (that you will be using in Office 365 as the sender email addresses), and we’ll add them to your account and enable the Settings > Address Authentication page, shown on the right.
Log in to your Office 365 admin center. To create a connector, Click Admin > Exchange.
Select mail flow > connectors under Exchange admin center.
Click the Plus symbol (+) to create a connector wizard.
Select the Office365 from the From drop-down menu.
Select the Partner organization from the To drop-down menu. Click the Next button.
Name the Connector. For example “Office 365 to SMTP2GO”. Make sure that the Turn it on checkbox is checked. Click the Next button.
Select the Only when email messages are sent to these domains. Click the Plus symbol (+).
Enter ‘*’ (without quote) in to the add domain field and click the OK button, then Next button.
Select the Route email through these smart hosts. Click the Plus symbol (+).
Enter mail.smtp2go.com as smart host. Click the Save button, then Next button.
Leave the default Always use Transport Layer Security (TLS) to secure the connection (recommended) and Issued by a trusted certificate authority (CA) set and then click the Next.
Verify your settings and click Next.
Add a valid email address and click the Validate buton. If the status is Succeeded for Check connectivity to ‘mail.smtp2go.com’ and Send test email, then click the Save button.
If the Check connectivity to ‘mail.smtp2go.com’ is Succeeded, but the Send test email is failed, no worries, just Save the Connector. Go to your Office 365 Outlook and send a test message. If the Connector is setup correctly, then the mail will be delivered successfully through your SMTP2Go account. If the message get bounced, please contact us, we will help you to resolve the issue.
