These instructions show how to set up older iPhones and iPads to send email through SMTP2Go.

Note: these are just for devices running iOS 11 and below. For more recent devices.

Step 1

Select ‘Settings’ from the main screen in your iPhone.

Step 2

Select ‘Mail’ from the Settings screen.

Step 3

If you have previously setup a mail account, your screen will appear similar to this screen. Click on the name of the account you wish to change. The account in this example is called ‘My account’.

If you have never setup a mail account, click ‘Add Account…’. You can also click here for more detailed instructions.

Step 4

Click on the name of your current SMTP server.

Important: do not change your Incoming Mail Server settings.

Step 5

Change the Host Name setting to mail.smtp2go.com. Enter your SMTP2GO SMTP user name into User Name and your SMTP password into Password. Make sure that Use SSL is set to OFF, and that Authentication is set to Password.

You can find your User Name and Password by logging in to your SMTP2GO Dashboard and clicking “Settings” then “Users”.

Set the Server Port to 2525. You can also try using Server Port 25, 8025 or 587.

You will also need to make sure that you are sending from a domain name or an email address that you have registered with SMTP2GO.
