This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to set up your SMTP2GO server as a Smart host on your functional Exchange Server 2016.

Step 1

Launch the Exchange Control Panel (ECP) with your browser and login as Administrator.

Step 2

Go to Mail flow > Send connectors, and then click + to start the New Send connector wizard.

Step 3

Enter mail.smtp2go.com into the Name field.

Select Custom option from the Type.

Click the Next button.

Step 4

select Route mail through smart hosts, and then click +.

In the Add smart host dialog box, enter mail.smtp2go.com, and then click the Save button.

Click the Next button.

Step 5

Select the Basic Authentication option.

Check the Offer basic authentication only after starting TLS.

Enter your SMTP2GO Username and Password into the Username and Password fields respectively.

Click the Next button.

Step 6

in the Address space section, click +. In the Add domain dialog box that appears,

enter the SMTP into the Type field.

Enter an asterisk (*) into the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) field.

Enter 1 into the Cost field.

Click the Save button.

The previous window will appear, click the Next button.

Step 7

in the Source server section, click +. In the Select a Server dialog box select one or more Mailbox servers that you want to use to send outbound mail to the SMTP2GO.

Click the Add button and then OK button.

Step 8

Click the Finish buton.
