Since downloading Windows 10, a lot of people have been experiencing issues sending mails via Outlook.

You may see the following error message: User account – Sending’ reported error (0x800CCC13): ‘Cannot connect to the network. Verify your network connection or modem.

If this happens, you’ll need to repair corrupted files by using the Windows System File Checker using the following steps:

  1. Close Outlook.
  2. Right click the Windows Start button and click on Command Prompt (Admin). If this option isn’t available, click Windows PowerShell (Admin) instead.
  3. In the Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow (note the space in the command) and hit the enter key.
  4. Wait until the process has finished. This shouldn’t take any longer than 20 minutes with a regular hard disk, and much less time if you have a fast SSD drive.
  5. Restart your computer and open Outlook again.

If you continue to experience issues sending, please get in touch!
